    Dr. Anshi Agarwal

    Dr. Anshi Agarwal grew up in Ottawa and completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Ottawa. She obtained her medical degree at McMaster University and subsequently returned to Ottawa to complete her postgraduate training in Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa in 2014. She also holds a Diploma in Practical Dermatology through the Cardiff University. She enjoys practicing broad-based family medicine and her special interests include minor procedures and dermatology.







    Dr. Eric Fox

    Dr. Eric Fox grew up in Montreal and completed both a Bachelor of Science and his medical degree at McGill University. He subsequently completed his training in Family Medicine in 2009 at the University of Ottawa. He has worked in various rural and semi-rural locations since his graduation in 2009. He enjoys providing broad based care to all of his patients, but he does have special interests in minor surgical procedures, sports medicine, and medical practice management.





    Dr. Jacqui Lauder

    Dr. Jacqui Lauder grew up in Winnipeg, MB and completed her undergraduate degree in Sociology in Victoria, BC. She then obtained her MD at University of Toronto, and did her postgraduate training in Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa. She is also a physician at St. Patrick’s Home, a Long Term Care facility in Ottawa, and is actively involved in teaching medical students at the University of Ottawa. Her special interests include Women’s Health, Care of the Elderly, and Palliative Care.

    She is happily settled in Ottawa with her partner and 2 young children.



    Dr. Roozbeh Matin

    Dr. Roozbeh Matin is a graduate of University of Ottawa School of Medicine and completed his family medicine residency in 2008. He is a member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and a Lecturer at University of Ottawa School of Medicine. His areas of interest include information technology, research, and minor surgical procedures.

    He grew up in Nepean and makes his home here with his wife Nadia and their three daughters.





    Dr. Natalie Moreau

    Dr. Natalie Moreau is a graduate from the University of Ottawa Family Medicine Program and she is a member of the College of Family Physicians of Ontario.
    Originally from a small Northern Ontario community, Dr. Natalie Moreau did her undergraduate medical training at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and her family medicine residency training at the University of Ottawa.
    She also holds an undergraduate Science Degree in Kinesiology and a Master’s of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology from McMaster University. She is bilingual (French / English) and has special interests in sports injuries, pediatrics, women’s health and medical education. While working at the Greenbelt Family Health Team, she continues to teach part-time at the University of Ottawa School of Medicine.

    Since joining the physicians at the Greenbelt Family Health Team in 2011, Dr. Moreau has firmly planted her roots in the Ottawa region and enjoys all it has to offer. Dr. Moreau has also in the last couple years become the mother of two beautiful little girls, Hailey and Emily.



    Dr. Karina Peters

    Dr. Karina Peters grew up in Waterloo Ontario and completed her undergraduate degree in kinesiology at Wilfrid Laurier University. She obtained her medical degree at McMaster University in Hamilton and completed her family medicine residency program through the University of Ottawa. She is a member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada.

    Dr Peters has been practicing family medicine at GFHT since it opened in 2011 and has enjoyed building long term, trusting relationships with her patients of all ages as they move through various life stages, challenges and milestones.  In addition to her family practice Dr Peters has been involved in research studies as a clinical investigator and works as a medical advisor for the federal government.

    Outside of medicine Dr. Peters enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors-particularly at her family cottage, cooking and spending time with her husband and three children.





    Dr. Sherri Renwick

    Originally from Ottawa, Dr. Renwick competed her undergraduate degree in Massachusetts. She then returned to Canada and graduated from the University of Ottawa School of Medicine in 1997.  She completed her Family Medicine residency training at Queen’s University and completed additional training in obstetrics as she has a special interest in prenatal and postnatal wellbeing as well as providing labour and delivery care in hospital.  Dr. Renwick enjoyed all aspects of rural family medicine and was involved in teaching medical student and residents throughout the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. After living and working on Manitoulin Island for over a decade, she is looking forward to continuing her family medicine practice at Greenbelt Family Health Team and her obstetrical practice at Queensway Carleton Hospital.

    She lives in the west end, along with her husband and three children, who enjoy boating, swimming, hiking and staying up late playing board games.  New referrals for prenatal patients are always welcome.





    Dr. Caitlin Schwartz

    Dr. Caitlin Schwartz is a graduate of UBC medical school. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto and her residency in Family Medicine from the University of Ottawa. Along with her family practice at Greenbelt, Dr. Schwartz is involved with medical student and resident teaching at the University of Ottawa.

    She is happily settled in Ottawa with her husband and three young sons.





    Dr. Kristy Staples

    Dr. Kristy Staples grew up in the rural village of Baltimore, Ontario. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Science at Dalhousie University and she graduated from the University of Ottawa with her medical degree, and residency training, in 2005.  Dr. Staples has practiced family, emergency, and hospitalist medicine throughout rural and northern Ontario.  She has also practiced occupational health, addictions, surgical assists, obstetrics, and palliative care.  Upcoming, Dr. Staples will be pursuing a year of training in Cosmetics and Dermatology.

    Her special interests are in endurance training, specifically Ultra-running and Ironman.





    Dr. Scott Tracey

    Dr. Scott Tracey is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario School of Medicine. He was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario and completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of Windsor. Dr. Tracey completed his Family Medicine Residency at the University of Ottawa in 2009. In addition to practising general family medicine, Dr. Tracey also holds privileges at the Ottawa Civic Hospital where he works as a Hospitalist. He is currently associated with the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine, where he is involved with medical student and resident teaching.

    Outside of medicine his interests including hockey, skiing, and travelling. He enjoys living in Ottawa with his wife Lyndsay and 3 young children.





    Dr. Charles Zhao

    Dr. Charles Zhao grew up in the Ottawa area and received his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Ottawa. He then completed his postgraduate training in family medicine at the Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2003. In addition, he obtained his Certificate of Special Competence in Emergency Medicine from the University of Ottawa and is currently a Fellow of the Canadian College of Family Physicians.

    Dr. Zhao has over fifteen years of clinical experience; along with his committed family medicine practice, he is also a physician in emergency medicine. He has special interests in critical care, medical education, and ultrasonography. He looks forward to providing his patients with compassionate care in Canada’s capital.





    Dr. Yong-Li Zhang

    Dr. Yong-Li Zhang obtained her Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Life Sciences from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. She proceeded to obtain her Doctor of Medicine degree in 2011, also from Queen’s. She then completed her Family Medicine residency training at the University of Ottawa in 2013.
    Having worked at several family medicine clinics and community health centres in the Ottawa area, she happily joined the Greenbelt team in 2018.
    Dr. Zhang enjoys practicing broad-based family medicine, with special interests in the Care of the Elderly, Palliative Care, and medical education. She does regular visits at a local retirement home, and has helped to train medical students and nurse practitioner students.

    Dr. Zhang is fully fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin). She loves dogs and enjoys the visual arts. She and her husband welcomed their first baby in 2018.





    Dr. Sadia Karim

    Dr. Sadia Karim completed her medical undergraduate degree at McMaster University and received her Family Medicine training from the University of Ottawa. She earned her CFPC specialist designation in 2013.

    Ottawa is her home town, and so she is happy to be settled here with her family, her husband and young daughter. She looks forward to growing alongside her wonderful patients, while working with the amazing team at Greenbelt FHT.





    Dr. Jennifer Adams

    Dr. Jennifer Adams grew up in the Ottawa Valley and graduated with her medical degree from McMaster University. She completed her family medicine residency at the University of Ottawa and has been living in and practicing family medicine in Ottawa for over 10 years.  Dr. Adams is excited to join GFHT to continue to provide compassionate, comprehensive family medicine to all age groups.

    Dr. Adams happily lives in south Ottawa with her husband and young children.





    Dr. Melissa Sheldrick

    Dr. Melissa Sheldrick grew up in Ottawa and completed her medical doctorate degree (magna cum laude) at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario in 2011. She completed her family medicine residency training at the university of Ottawa in 2013.
    Dr. Sheldrick also holds a bachelor degree with honors in biochemistry as well as in a combined Masters degree in neuroscience and biochemistry both from the University of Ottawa (2000-2006).
    Dr. Sheldrick is thrilled to have had the opportunity to move her practice to join Greenbelt family health team in March, 2018 and is gifted with a wonderful, kind and thoughtful roster of patients and colleagues who keep her smiling and laughing! She strives to create a safe space for her patients to feel welcomed, cared for and listened to.
    Dr. Sheldrick also works as a consultant for Body Stream medical services and focuses on appropriate and responsible medicinal cannabis treatments for a wide variety of chronic ailments.
    Dr. Sheldrick is fluent in both Spanish and English after having spent a significant amount of time living in Guatemala and happily serves Spanish-speaking patients in the community.
    Outside of medicine, Dr. Sheldrick is passionate about animal welfare and in particular, dog rescue/ rehabilitation. She and her partner currently own an acreage in Kemptville, Ontario where they have 2 retired racing greyhounds from the USA and 4 Salukis rescued from the deserts of Qatar. They support dog rescue initiatives such as the VZW-Rescue Salukis Middle East, Greyhound Supporters of Ottawa, and Northern Greyhound Adoptions.







    Ainsley Charles, Executive Director

    With more than a decade of experience Ainsley has made a career commitment to health care management. Her experience in primary care includes Family Health Groups, Family Health Organizations and Family Health Teams. She graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree from the School of Management at the University of Ottawa in 2005. Ainsley has served two terms on the board of directors for Rideau Community Health Services governing the Smiths Falls and Merrickville Community Health Centres.

    She lives in Smiths Falls with her husband and two young children.


    Danielle Lalande, Clinic Manager

    With almost 9 years of experience in the health care field, Danielle quickly transitioned from a Medical Office Assistant to a senior MOA and then onto her current position of Clinic Manager. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Translation from the University of Ottawa in 2013.

    Originally from Sudbury, she moved to Ottawa in 2008 where she lives with her husband and two young sons.



    Jessica Dobson, Clinic Administrator

    Jessica has been with the Greenbelt Family Health Team as the Clinic Administrator since 2018.  She previously worked as a legal assistant for 6 years after graduating the Law Clerk program at Algonquin College and earning her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology at Carleton University.

    Jessica grew up in North Gower and enjoys living and working in Ottawa.  Her spare time is spent hiking, reading or watching hockey.









    Sally MacIsaac, Nurse Practitioner

    Sally is originally from Prince Edward Island and is a graduate of the University of Prince Edward Island, University of Ottawa and also completed a Diploma at the Liverpool School of Tropical Diseases. Prior to joining the Greenbelt Family Health Team in 2016, Sally worked in Northern Alberta, NorthWest Territories, various First Nations Ontario communities as well as spending time volunteering in several rural Tanzanian villages.




    Nicole Valiquette, Social Worker

    Nicole Valiquette, MSW, RSW holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Laurentian University. She is a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Her professional background includes having provided counselling and support to individuals and families at Health Sciences North, both with Developmental Clinical Services and the Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatric Unit. Nicole has assisted individuals in overcoming challenges associated with mental health and addictions in residential, clinical and school-based settings.

    Nicole utilizes clinical approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Emotion Focused Therapy and aspects of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.  She is trained in and utilizes trauma formed approaches, grief counselling and arts therapies to enhance overall well being in individuals through embracing personal strengths, enhancing resiliency and increasing coping skills in a supportive environment.





    Dr. Lianne Rosen, Clinical Psychologist

    Dr. Rosen received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Victoria, and completed her predoctoral psychology residency in health psychology at the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax. She has previously trained in a variety of clinical settings including specialized hospital programs (cardiology, chronic pain, transplant, oncology, immunodeficiency), student counselling, and in private practice. She is a licensed Clinical and Health Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, and has been with the GFHT since 2018.

    Dr. Rosen’s approach to assessment and treatment is collaborative and strengths-based. She aims to create an open, nonjudgmental environment where individuals can feel safe to explore personal concerns, identify patterns that they might wish to change, and develop strategies to work towards their goals. She employs therapeutic approaches including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as interpersonal, emotion-focused, and mindfulness interventions.





    Brandy McDevitt, Dietitian

    Brandy McDevitt graduated with bachelor of Applied Science in Food and Nutrition from Ryerson University in 2000 and subsequently completed a Dietitians of Canada accredited internship at University Health Network in Toronto, Ontario in 2001. Since 2001, she has practiced as a Registered Dietitian where she has worked with clients to create meaningful, manageable and sustainable nutrition and lifestyle goals. She works with people of all ages and her counseling is centered around Health at Every Size®, Intuitive Eating principles and the Division of Responsibility in Feeding (sDOR) for children and families. She works hard to use positive, motivating, non-stigmatizing and inclusive language to help clients achieve their individual goals.

    She enjoys spending time in the kitchen cooking and eating yummy & healthy food for her family and friends. She likes gardening, yoga, walking, biking and being out in nature. She is a member in good standing of The College of Dietitians of Ontario as well as a member of Dietitians of Canada. She currently resides in Ottawa with her husband and 3 boys.







    Megan

    Megan is a graduate of the University of Ottawa nursing program, and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She spent many years as a Registered Nurse at CHEO, continues to work at a local Community Health Centre, and also enjoys the benefits of working at a Family Health Team in the community. She is a member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

    Megan currently resides in Ottawa with her husband, two children and adorable new puppy.




    Jessica

    Jessica is originally from New Brunswick and moved to Ottawa in 2005. She graduated from the Practical Nursing program at Algonquin College in 2007. Jessica started her career working with the geriatric population in long-term care. After working for 5 years, she decided to continue to pursue her studies and bridged from RPN to RN by attending the University of Ottawa. In 2015, Jessica successfully received her Bachelor of Science of Nursing. Jessica is a member of the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing. She also holds membership with the Registered Nurse Association of Ontario. Jessica currently resides in Ottawa with her husband Kevin.
